I have to say this openly now, I can stay silent no more.

How many times did I have to read the following sentence in major newspapers:

“Ivermectin is used to treat parasitic worms, especially in livestock.”

Let’s take this sentence which has been repeated ad absurdum. Who is using it? Why? I think it is the people who are, in the deep darkest corners of their souls, closeted racists. One of the safest drugs we have on Earth to treat people. It is used heavily in areas of the world populated with black and brown peoples. Are these livestock to you? Really? Give me a break! Friggin’ racists. Nothing else.

Did it end there? No it didn’t.

How about that famed “Trump drug” Hydroxychloroquine? Taken in some parts of Africa and other parts of the world weekly against malaria, and given affectionate names like Sunday-Sunday. It is another very safe drug, known for 70 years and given in billions of doses. It is sold as Plaquenil. Millions of people who take this drug daily in the West for rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions don’t even realize it is the same thing. Someone I know listed it among the drugs she is taking when I spoke to her, she didn’t even realize it is the same thing and that it probably saved her life during a severe Covid infection. When I revealed that they are the same thing she immediately claimed it did nothing for her. I beg to differ. It reduced the severity by some percentage and she fared pretty reasonably, although she had a nasty two-week respiratory infection -- but still at home -- with the “wildtype” Covid-19 Alpha. Not landed in hospital and dead. It is given out with AZT and Doxy in Northern Africa now as Early Treatment. How do I know? I have friends abroad. Their doctors don’t call it names nor they prescribe things based on political affiliation. That is reserved for us in the West.

How about vitamins?

So how about D3 – the most racist vitamin of them all – it refuses to be easily generated in skin with an abundance of melanin upon sun exposure. It must be totally racist. Or one has to face the facts of basic biology and one must stop being complete idiot and supplement it.

Relativity of the numbers

70% or 66% is still a huge improvement in terms of severity of a disease. Look at some recently-approved-by-FDA drugs which have claims like 5% improvement. Heck, even a measly 5% would clearly be better than 0%, especially considering excellent safety profile of these time-tested drugs like Hydroxycloroquine or Ivermectin.
